This notice covers the Uncommon Place marketing website. The mobile app has a separate Uncommon Place app privacy policy, which describes location, app analytics, purchases and other app functions.
Information we use and why
Delivering and securing the website
When your browser requests a page, our hosting and security providers necessarily receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referrer, and the date and time of the request. Server and security logs may record this information.
We use this information to deliver the website, keep it reliable, investigate faults and protect it from misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in operating and securing this website.
Optional website analytics
If you actively allow analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 property G-RB426TWXLC. It may receive a pseudonymous browser identifier, pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser information, referrer information and interactions with the website. We use the resulting reports to understand which pages are useful and improve the website.
Our lawful basis is your consent. Google Analytics does not load until you choose “Accept analytics” or enable analytics in the settings. We disable Google advertising signals and ad-personalisation features. You can withdraw consent at any time by selecting .
Your privacy choice
We store your analytics choice, the version of the consent notice and the date of the choice in your browser’s local storage. This is necessary to remember and respect your decision. We ask you to renew the choice after six months or sooner if the purposes change.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, name if supplied, the content of the message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this to respond, provide support and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and supporting our products, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
What we do not do
This website has no user accounts and does not take payments. We do not use website information for behavioural advertising, sell it, or make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
International transfers
Some suppliers, including Google, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for a transfer, we rely on the relevant provider’s approved transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or contractual safeguards.
More information is available in Google’s privacy policy and Google’s information about data-transfer frameworks.
How long we keep information
- Consent preference: six months, unless you change it sooner or the notice changes.
- Google Analytics: cookies are configured to expire after no more than six months. Event-level Analytics information is retained for no more than 14 months; aggregated reports that no longer identify a browser may be kept for longer.
- Hosting and security logs: retained for the period reasonably needed to deliver, troubleshoot and protect the site, according to the provider’s service settings, then deleted or anonymised.
- Enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the enquiry is resolved, unless a longer period is necessary for an ongoing service, dispute or legal obligation.
We may keep anonymised information that can no longer identify anyone.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your personal information; restrict its use; receive portable information; and object to processing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Tell us why you object and we will stop unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or need the information for legal claims.
To exercise a right, email support@boonandmoil.dev. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and understand the request. There is normally no charge.
Children and families
The website describes experiences that adults and children may enjoy together, but it is not designed to collect children’s names or contact details. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or carer to help with privacy choices or contacting us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Contact, complaints and changes
For questions or requests, contact Boon & Moil Limited at support@boonandmoil.dev.
If you are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit the ICO complaints page.
We may update this notice if the website, suppliers or law changes. We will change the effective date and seek fresh consent where a change affects an existing consent.
